Moxie Fab The Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge

At Moxie Fab they have a challenge called Cure for the Winter Blues. So, blue to me is little boys and fun!! So, I got my Sandy Lion Boys Clear Stamp set out and chose the Robot, added some blue and a little orange color to him and he turned out cute. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamp set Yard Yabber. I was assured by the 4 year old nephew that it was cool!!!

Deconstructing Jen Sketch #40

This was a hard sketch for me for some reason and I just decided to use designer paper, Magnifique from Close To My Heart for the whole thing!! I stamped the Hippo from CTMH Life's A Jungle and went from there. It ended up being a busy card for me but I think he turned out cute.
And while working on it, there was a huge crash in my craft room, I about jumped right out of my chair, and this was the destruction. The wonderful little wood shelf that my husband made me about 17 years ago, that hung in the kitchen of our little first house, to hold my stamping stuff, came out of the wall on one side!! So, I gingerly had to take down all the wood stamps and put them in tubs until he can fix it!!

Mo's Digital Challenge #123 - "Lace" with a Mo Image

At Mo's Digital Challenge blog this weeks challenge was to use lace with a image from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop. I got this sweet image Sumpin's Wrong a while back and I just love it. I switched it up from a little boy this time and did a pink shirt - making the image a little girl!! The lace is from my stash from my mom and it is probably as old as I am!!! lol The sentiment is a stamp that is floating around on my desk, so I am not sure where it is from.

CPS #253 and TSG #144!!!

I had both Card Positioning Systems sketch and There She Goes #144 Animal Theme written down on my desk. So, without paying much attention, I grabbed the TSG set Slow and Steady and started using it for the CPS sketch. I stamped the two snails racing in the grass, added some second generation stamped dragonflies and tied Chocolate bakers twine around the bottom. Enjoy . . . .

Darla's Digi's DD#3 Challenge

I really love the digital stamps that Digi Darla Designs has. She had this little girl frog for free so I printed it out and colored it. At her blog the challenge was Anything But Snow, so I made this card using this sweet little frog.

Unscripted Sketches #146

I took some time out from babysitting and the tax stuff and made a few cards this week. This one is for the Unscripted Sketches #146. The sketch was a fun one this week and they had a piggyback challenge to use stitching. I got this digital image from Beyond the Fringe Crafts. I used ric-rak and binding from my stash and used my two, yes, only two blue copics to color the truck!! (I only have 5 of the copics!! lol) Added the heart and baby buttons. I have a wonderful friend/cousin who just moved into her own home and this is going to her!!

Clearly Inspired Challenge No. 46 at Clear Dollar Stamps

Clear Dollar Stamps blog Clearly I Stamp challenge was Let's Get Shapely! So, I took my Heart Circle Nestabilities and cut out my card leaving a space at the top that was still attached. I used my circle and scallop circle nesties to set up the center for my chicken from Farm Critters. I love my heart circle nesties and I love to use any chicken stamps since I have 11 hens. Most all of our chickens are tame - We have Princess, Little One, Rockstar, Penelope, Ginger (she is the one on my card!) Squirt, Buffy, Spongebobette, This, That and the Other One!!!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 39

This weeks sketch at Deconstructing Jen was fun. I pulled out some small safety pins that matched the colors and used them for the first time on a card. I have used them in the nephews scrapbooks! I used a stamp from a SU set that I have had for years and of course I didn't keep track of the names of the sets back then. Some scrap papers and some papers from a DCWV Stack. The ribbon is from CTMH.

Mo's Digital Challenge "My Sentiments Exactly" #122

I took a few days off from posting because I started working on a alphabet set of flash cards and then today decided to make a couple cards. I decided to use A Big Whoop from Mo's Digital Pencil and join in her challenge here. It was to add a sentiment to your project using a Mo's Digital Pencil Image. Luckily before the printer ran out of ink, I had printed this one out!! I am using scrap papers I have and so I used these bright ones and added a sentiment from a Studio G set.

Unscripted Sketches #145

After I finished the 15th sketch for CPS last night, I made this card for the Unscripted Sketches #145. I used a stamp by Susan Branch, paper from one of the stacks, SU pink passion ink and the ribbon and bakers Twine from Ribbon Carousel. I really love the look of the white ribbon and this was the perfect sketch for it.

Well, I did it!! All 15 sketches done. It was such great fun to go in and do each one and just pull down some of my stamps and use them, some for the first time in years!!! Today's sketch at Card Positioning Systems was sponsored by Flower Soft again, so I got to use my Flower Soft!!! :) I used Charlie Daisy from Clear Dollar Stamps. I love these papers, they are by Anna Griffin and I have kept them all together and so I finally used them. I added my Sweet Pea flower soft to the flowers and then some cheapie pink pearls and the brads.

Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Celebration Day 14

Day 14 Anniversary Celebration sketch at Card Postitioning Systems was sponsored today by Flower Soft. When I first saw this, I fell in love with their Sweet Pea color. I really like using the flower soft on my Garden Bicycle stamp from Great Impressions. I used some Blue Bazzill paper, yellow from MM Fresh Anthology Collection - Eliza. I love how the flower soft looks on the flower in the bike basket and on the ground. I used the blue and yellow papers to make my own round flower, using flower soft on the top circle.

Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Celebration Day 13!

It is coming down to the end, 2 more sketches and I will have done all 15 sketches for Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Celebration. Today was a great sketch and I wish I could figure out how to share it on here. I used a Narcissus stamp from SU (year 2000 is when it was made!!) with SU Sage Shadow in and embossed in clear ep. The star paper is from Debbie Mumm's Nursery Rhyme papers and I also used Bitty Scrap Pads Windswept paper for the circle dragonfly. I am not sure where I got the dragonfly bead, but since I love dragonflies, I have a bunch.

A new challenge using Digital stamps!!

I have only done a few cards using digital stamps, but I found some awesome ones at Mo's Digital Pencil. They are drawn by Maurie Manning aka Mo Manning and they are awesome. For her Bingo Challenge this week, I used her digital stamp called Video girl because it looks alot like Catie!! Then in addition to the image, you had to choose three things to use, so I chose pearls, glitter and lace. My pearls are from CTMH, I used diamond and cotton candy Stickles and some old green lace that was in with my seam bindings and trims from my mom's stash!! I had to use alot of green because that is Catie's favorite color since she was about 3 years old!

I grabbed my Pier 1 stamp from River City Rubberworks and some CtMH papers and some brown embossing powder and went to town. I used my chocolate bakers twine from Ribbon Carousel. the beaded fabric wire was one I made a long time ago and I layered it over the ribbon I put down.

Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Celebration Day 11

Ahh, Day 11. I have 4 more to go!! Todays sketch at Card Positioning Systems was a fun one. I have had a busy week, the boys every day this week, so I used a image I had stamped already and I didn't get up to get her off the high shelf so I am not sure where she is from right now!! Then I needed to add something to it, so I was looking at my ribbons and nothing really jumped out at me, so the light bulb went off and I went into my sewing stuff. I found the yellow stitched edge bias trim - it was still in the plastic wrap, it is so old that for 2 1/2 yards it was 15 cents!!! Yep, pretty cool. My mom had boxes of bias tape, lace and trims and so I have got a bunch!

Valentine's Day is Coming and I am almost ready!!

A few years ago Katie Renz and I made these Valentines for the kids and so I decided to make them again, for the four year old nephew's preschool class. I made them for his older brothers class his last year of preschool, so I thought it was only fair. So, this is what Trip is taking to preschool. Candy heart boxes all dressed up!!

Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Challenges Day 10

I am caught up, today is Day 10 at Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Challenges and I have the card done!! Woohoo!! It was a hard sketch for me, but I was putting some stuff away and found a tag from Katie Renz using the flower and sentiment and it really worked for me today! So I used CTMH set Treasures, CTMH paper kit called Caboodle and a CTMH metal token!! I hope you like it!!

Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Challenge Day 9

I am right on schedule!!! lol Today is Day 9 of the Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Challenges. I needed a masculine birthday card, so I kind of tweaked the sketch a tad bit. I used the Explorer stamp from Above the Mark, a fishing pole from Jolee's and the sentiment is from CTMH Celebration set.

Card Positioning Systems Anniversary Challenges Day 8

I am still keeping at it, here is my card for the Card Positioning Systems Day 8 sketch. I am pulling stamps that I love off my shelf and using ones I haven't used for a while. And yes, this one shows two Matchbox cars in the picture, well, they were left on my table by one of the little boys and so I choose these colors!! We must have over 50 of these little cars running around here. Keith buys them when they are on sale and hangs them on a shelf in our room and Calvin gets to choose a car every once in a while - but only when he is a good boy!!! The stamp I used is by PSX and is from The Montage Collection. The rose is from Hearts In Touch and the heart cutout is my own, and then I used a Martha Stewart punch for the edge.

Card Positioning Systems Day 7 Anniversary Challenge

Yep, here is Day 7!! I am finally only one day behind!! At Card Positioning Systems, the sketch was a good one. I used my Winnie and Piglet heart stamp from All Night Media and the sentiment from Hero Arts. I am using my scrap papers up and I also used the heart spiral clips from 7 gypseys!!

Card Positioning Systems Day 6 Anniversary Challenge

OK, I have been trying to keep up every day, but I haven't been able to upload, so here is Card Positioning Systems Day 6 Challenge! This was a great sketch and since everyone that I know who is having a baby soon, are having boys, I am making boy cards!! This stamp is from Pink Cat Studio also. And I used an Inkadinkado Chelsea sentiment.
