Where did summer go??

Where did it go? I have no idea, I have only made a card or two since we had a wonderfully busy summer. I still had my 3 little buddies, aka Landon, Calvie and Missy P and then the girls. The girls and I traveled to Idaho to spend the 4th of July holiday with my favorite cousin and his family. Had an awesome time. Then it was home to celebrate the 16th birthdays of two girls, and then they went away for a week to camp in Oregon. We worked really hard to get a Figure 8 truck done for Catie to drive at our local fair in August and then the girls and I took a few days on Orcas Island with friends. I have not bought one stamp in months. I did make a few cards here and there, but nothing spectacular - My goal this fall is to purge the sewing/craft room as things are piled high and I have no idea where anything is. So, stay tuned, you never know about me!! lol (Me on the four wheeler, Cissy (r) and her cousin Avery, Catie's truck and her racing, me and my cousin Valor)

Clearly Inspired Challenge #13 - April Showers bring May Flowers

The challenge for May at Clearly I Stamp Blog is April Showers bring May Flowers. Since I only have a few of Lori's flower stamps, I called my buddy, old pal, Stamp Katie who is on Lori's Design team and said hey, can I borrow this stamp? And she did (ok, I watch her twins on Wednesday afternoons so it was Wed. am!!) She brought me the set Bless My Bloomers. Since I am loving the paper from CTMH and it was out from my previous card, I used the Tickled Pink set of papers. I love the Bless my Bloomers set and I may have to get it for myself, but for now here is the card I made!

Heart 2 Heart Challenge - Technique

At the Heart2Heart Challenge Blog the challenge was to include a technique that you can tell about,so. . . I did 2nd generation stamping and sponging on my card. I love this set of papers and stamps from last year called Tickled Pink. The centers of the two larger flowers I tapped the stamp in the ink then stamped off some of the ink onto scrap paper and then stamped the middle of the flower, then stamped the middle with a different stamp with full ink. The medium flower, I lightly sponged blush ink on it with the sponge tool after stamping the main image in Hollyhock ink. All papers are from CTMH and I used Crystal Blue, Sweet leaf, Hollyhock, Blush and twilight Inks. The two leaves on the right and the larger flowers are popped up with pop dots. This is my first time playing along with this challenge.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #12 - Al Tied Up

My friend Stamp Katie hosts a challenge on Clearly I Stamp, the blog for Clear Dollar Stamps. I love all the stamps Lori has and am lucky to be able to pop over to Katie's to 'borrow' them!! Sometimes I like them so much I get my own!! LOL

Well, Katie has been on my case to get some stamping done - I have been scrapbooking a little - so I decided to make a card using ribbon for the challenge this week!! I used the Patchpal Giraffe along with paper from CTMH to go with the green ribbon that I just love. I like all the stitching in it. So here it is, enjoy!!

Where has the time gone??

Hmm, wondering where the last few months went and not a blog post!!! I don't know where it has gone, I know I am not crafting like usually!! I have done some sewing on a quilt, some hand work on a couple pillowcases, sewed badges onto a young mans Karate uniform, and done a bunch of 2009 season Fastpitch scrapbook! No pictures yet of course!! LOL Another thing that has been taking up our familys time is the Figure 8 truck for Catie. So, that is what is happening around here -

Bradilicious Challenge on Clearly I Stamp

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday. We are back to the regular schedule at our house now and I can finally make some cards that aren't Christmas. LOL Though I am challenging myself this year to make at least 4 Christmas cards a month so I am not slaving at the end of the year- So,

Bradilicious????? Hmm, I threatened to use Brad Pitt at first!! LOL But, Katie said I couldn't and that I had to use brads for the challenge at Clearly I Stamp blog for Clear Dollar Stamps! So, I used the new Charlie Sledding and added some Icicle Stickles to my "blue snow' and added some snowflake brads that I have had forever!
